Good Riddance 2007

2007 was one helluva roller coaster ride. But we have managed to survive. Some hilights:

In January, the year opened with a super fun house hunting trip. Dude! This ride is gonna rock!

In February, we bought a house! Yeah us! Woohoo! The anticipation builds, this is gonna be fun!

In March, my dad died. Total downer.

In April, the navy stole my rock, and source of strength away from me. Rock friggin’ bottom.

In May, I got new linoleum installed in the kitchen, and lo, it was beautiful. Going up.

In June, DH came home. Cresting the hill.

In July, a bunny moved into our backyard, our home became Casa Del Yuriar Bed & Breakfast, and much fun was had by the whole big extended family at the local Amusement Park. Over. And Over. Trust me, we got our money’s worth out of those tickets. Great high. (Emotional high people! We just say no!)

In August, the stress of homeschooling began. I love homeschooling, I wouldn’t do it any other way. But it does stretch me in ways I had never thought possible. Downward slide begins.

In September, MomoT announces her impending nuptials. Could I be the photographer? Um. Sure. Why not? Help plan it? Ok. By the way, the wedding is the beginning of next month. Love ya! AHH! Stress multiplying. Headache growing. Hands up, here we-e go-o-o-o-0!!!

In October, MomoT got married, and the photos came out great. Coasting to the top.

In November, NaBloPoMo arrived, and I didn’t miss a day. Awesome view at the top of the hill.

In December, GeekBoy’s 7th birthday was bittersweet without his Grampa to share it with. Our first Christmas without Dad. Nostalgia reigned supreme. It was hard, but not as hard as the days after Christmas. Holiday let-down to the max. Bottomed out.

Yea. Like I said. Total roller coaster. I’m so ready for this year to be over.

Attention 2008. Bring it.
