So…. Two nights have been aired already, and I’m not really seeing any standout performs a la Chris Daughtry. What do you think? Have you seen anyone who is your fav so far? Seen anyone who will be the next William Hung?
If I had to pick right now, well, I liked the super tall chick on night 2. I think the computer geek was set up by his coworkers who all told him he just *had* to go tryout.
It’s actually kinda of sad to watch Paula pump egos and say things like, “Great job, but this competition just isn’t for you.” to people’s faces, then totally diss them as soon as they are out of the room. I’ll bet they went home thinking, “Wow. That was rougher than I expected. But, hey! At least Paula dug me!” Only to watch the tape and feel lower than an ant’s toenail. But hey, it’s all about great TV, right AI Producers? And Paula only seems to do that for the first hour or so…. After that, I guessing the rum or vodka or whatever the heck she has in that big red Coke cup is taking effect…
But hey, if you missed the shows, or just want a really good, often sarcastic, always funny (IMO) review of the show… check out J.D.’s Musical Ramblings – http://jdmatthews.blogspot.com/ – I found J.D. last year, through the AI boards where he would post his review after every show. I’ve been a fan of his blog ever since, and even listen to his weekly radio show when I get the chance.

Did you see Simon on Oprah the other day? He mentioned that he was keeping his eye on a guy singer that didn’t “look” like an AI. I’m thinking he was referring to the little Indian guy (with the adorable smile) that sang Stevie. He seemed to be really impressed with him at the auditions.
No.. I didn’t see that… I don’t get to watch Oprah anymore, the kids are going wakko by the time she’s on… But I don’t know.. it may be the Indian guy… he was a cutie… We’ve still got alot of auditions to go though… *S* Maybe there is someone we haven’t seen yet??
