What do you need?

Not what do you want… Good grief, my want list is about 2 miles long. No… What do I need to be truly happy?
I gotta admit… I’ve got everything I need… I have a wonderful, supportive husband. Three very beautiful children. a roof over our heads, food on the table and clothes on our backs. And I have my computer.
True, I could probably live without my computer, if I absolutely have to… But the computer is such an important part of our house, it’s even on our evacuation checklist! (Planning ahead, just in case) My computer is more then just a piece of technology, he’s a member of the family! *S* We even named him – Juan. Juan helps me so often throughout the day…. With Juan, I can keep in touch with my extended family & friends, run my business, keep track of school days and dinner plans, shop from the comfort of my own home, keep track of family tree information, and create scrapbook pages.
It’s not just Juan either… We also have Rosa, my dh’s laptop. *S* Rosa is great for those time we need to go on the road, or heck, if I wanna scrap from the comfort of the couch instead of my computer chair.
There is also the Munchkin, my kids computer… Munchkin is a great teaching tool for my kids. My 5 year old already knows more about computers than most 8 year olds we meet… and my 2 year old can already turn it on, put in a cd, and run her own games. Even the 1 year old is learning thanks to JumpStart Baby. Noiw, before you get the wrong idea, They don’t play on the computer all day. There are even several days a week Munchkin doesn’t see any action. But days like I’ve had recently, when I sick, it’s good to have an alternative to the TV. All of their games are educational…. even the ones you wouldn’t think are so educational are teaching them more about the computer. I’ve watched my DS5, who has been geeking since the ripe old age of 4 months… He has learned so much from the computer, and about the computer. He certianly has a leg up on the rest of his classmates.
Well now… this one certainly got way off track! *S* went from what do I need to be happy, to an essay on the benefits of computers. *S* DUH! anyone reading this will certianly know how valuable a computer can be.
