Today is the day. Black friday? yes. But I hate shopping, so I avoid stores at all cost. No. Today is the day we put up the Christmas Decorations. A big bowl of holiday punch, a box of Assorted chocolates, and a tree. who could ask for anything more?
I think my kids are more excited about this day right now, then they are about Christmas! I’ve got maybe 20 more minutes before they all wake up and want to rip into this:
They can’t wait. Everyone gets their own tree, plus the big tree in the living room. And thePinkDiva is just thrilled that mom managed to score one of those outdoor nativities last year, because, “MOM! It has a BABY! Baby Jesus! I want to see! Can we open it now? I want to see!”
And you know what? I’m excited too. I need to load up my Zen with my Christmas Music and be prepared to blast it all day long. *S* I love this time of year.
I also hate this time of year. But today, I swear I will think positively. I promise not to dwell on the past, and what might have been, but rather to focus on the here and now. And the “here and now” is starting to wake up.
