the cure for what ails me.
I’ve been downing cups of hot chocolate all morning, despite the 70 degree weather. Hey! If coffee drinkers and can drink that hot liquid all year round, why is it weird for me to like hot chocolate in the summer? but anyway…
As always happens to me, I feel numb, disconnected, out of it. Then, I blog. The fog lifts slowly as the words fly from my fingers. and then, once I hit publish, the weight lifts from my shoulders, and for a few hours, I can function. More then function, I can accomplish.
Yesterday, after hitting publish, and sending all that emotion out into the web, I managed to take the kids to Walmart to get in on the big contacts sale that was such a bust, and then came home to fix up the school area a bit. There is still some work to do out there. So here I am, like a junkie looking for a fix. Sending my thoughts and what not out to the web so that I can yet again rise up to the challenges ahead of me today.
Yay, Lorraine! You GO, girl!
he he he… thanks Gail!
Of course we can enjoy hot chocolate (or hot chai tea) in the summer time. When people at Starbucks look at me with a funny glance, I just say, “but you are drinking hot coffee!” Enough said!!!
