I had a good day. The stomach flu took one last “run” at me early in the morning. My kids actually slept in, which while that sounds like a good thing to most mothers, on sunday, it’s not a good thing for me! Why is it the one day of the week I want them to wake up at 7 in the morning, they choose to sleep until 8?
But we eventually made it to church on time… Pastor Mark talked about Hannah, Samuel’s Mother, and her faith and strength. Imagine, taking your 3 year old half way across the country, and leaving him with the rabbi. No phones. No email. No webcams. No way to see what he’s doing, or how he’s growing until the trip to synaguage the next year. It’s really a powerful story… Especialy when you realize that her little Samuel grew into one of Israel’s greatest prophets…
after church, I suggested a trip to the local food store for doughnuts. While there, I got a nice little rose bush with plenty of buds, and yes I picked it out myself cuz I’m a recovering perfectionist, and I wanted to make sure I got the right one that I would love.
We came home, and DS5 came down with a fever, so instead of spending the afternoon geeking, I spent it running back to the store for more tylenol, cuz we ran out.
then DH had to go to work! *sigh* So I got to cook dinner and care for my three little rugrats, even though it was Mommy’s Day. I don’t mind though…. cuz afterall, if it weren’t for my three rugrats, I wouldn’t have a reason to celebrate Mother’s Day….
