Last Friday, I gave my camera to a 5 year old. My good, expensive camera. To a five year old. Yes, I may indeed be certifiably insane. But then again…
The girl has an eye for a good photo. Check out the whole set here.
And yes, that is a photo of BigBoy riding his brand new bike, with just a little help from Mom, aka me.
True photographers in our house from adults to kids…! 🙂
I love the angle – looks like he’s ready to go down hill!!
Keep up the good work, you have some talented little hands there!
What a wonderful gift you are giving to your kids. I’ve always had fun with photography. When I was 12, Queen Elizabeth came to a celebration at Jamestown, VA. My mother took me out of school for the experience. Security was just about zero back on those days, and I was just a few feet from the Queen when I was able to take her picture (B&W film) as she walked past me. I’ve never forgotten that moment, and the thrill of getting a great photo! You’re giving your children a hobby (or career) that they’ll enjoy for the rest of their lives.
Your daughter takes great pictures. I remember my first camera, which was a gift from my grandfather at the age of 10, and he nurtured a love for photography. My first photo was a picture of a tree, which was cut in half due to the camera, and my grandfather beemed at pride upon receiving the photo. It is something I will never forget.
