Srsly… It’s been all Wii all the time. On the plus side, the three year old has honed his split second decision making abilities with “Lego ‘Tar Whores!” And really, my darling little diva just melts down in temperatures hotter then 75-77 degrees. Seeing how it’s been hotter then the surface of the sun out here lately, who am I to subject the neighborhood to the epic screams and tantrums that will inevitably occur.
Add to that, we are in one of those areas in the US being affected by smoke from local wildfires. I get tweets from the local daily paper telling me that the air quailty is such that people who have trouble breathing, the elderly, and small children should stay indoors. So SEE! SEE!! I don’t have to feel bad about letting them play computer/Wii games all day! And really, I don’t mind the computer games and the video games, because at least they are interacting with their chosen medium. We’ve done the occasional movie, but the TV – other then when it’s on for gaming purposes – has been off. Awesome. No mindless entertainment here!
Of course, at the end of the day, when it’s time to unplug and head to bed, I hear alot of this:
Oh yes it has!! *S* But I do have plans in the works for ways to get them away from the keyboards/remotes for a while every now and then. I want to take a few day trips to the local museums and zoo. I want to take them to the local Amusement Park, and hang with friends. Some arts & crafts type crap too. Should be fun.
