Well.. first off, I LOVE this guy! I love this whole office!!! Oh so sweet, and funny, and professional, and well-mannered. Ironically, they are situated just one building over from the ugly ugly place that I am forced to call my Dr. office. Don’t even get me started. Don’t even get me started. *Insert Jeannie Darcy reference here.*
Got there, was called back, and they took Xrays before even putting me in a room, awesome! Computerized even, so they were ready to be “read” right away! Awesome x2!!!!
Doc poked around at my foot, and then looked at the xrays. There is indeed a bone spur, just like I suspected. He said that it really shouldn’t be causing this much pain though. Thing is, the damn thing moved on me last night! The pain was right where I step on my heel yesterday… today, its further back and to the right of my actual heel. This actually kind of fits, because originally, it was just under my arch… Then, a couple of weeks ago, DH gave me one heck of a foot massage one night, and the pain went away for a day or two before relocating towards the outside of my foot, just under the heel. Then somehow between last night and this morning, it moved again, and wasn’t giving me pain while walking today, though I could still feel it in there when I rolled my foot around…
So! He gave me a shot of cortisone in my foot, and then gave me arch supports. He also had my foot taped, and I’m not allowed to get it wet for 4 days! Ick! My foot is gonna stink! *S* but! The cortisone should take care of the pain in the event the spur floats again. Right now it hurts like hell to walk on, due to the shot. My mom warned me that would happen though. Goes to show, Mothers are always right. You hear that kids? Always.
