I found this Pinecone in a tree behind our house.
The Lake of Tears. I find this place hauntingly beautiful. This is not the first time I’ve photographed the area, and I’ve explained the story behind the Lake of Tears along with a LO I did about the place. It can be seen here.
Proving even garbage can be beautiful in the snow! This one is of a fence surrounding a dumpster near the back of my development. Something about the dark red fence and the green tree just made me have to take the picture. *S* Despite the kids who were sledding in the area and looking at me like a whack job for taking a photo of the dumpster! *S*
Ahh… I’ve saved the best for last. I love this photo of my DS1. Imust admit, I did use a filter on this photo (the rest are unfiltered, just how my camera caught them). I used OptiKVerve’s Virtual Photographer filter to give it more of a dramtic contrast and a dreamy feel. I just love the bright red of his coat and the brilliant blue of his pants & boots against the gray of the shed and the white of the snow and fence. *S* and yes, if you look, his foot is up in the air as he takes a step. even with all the layers and the heavy boots, he still managed to walk around the backyard. *S* My baby is growing up too fast.
Great photos, Lorraine!
Thanks Trish!!!
