About a month ago, Lil’Chicano announced that if I ran out of diapers, he would use the potty.\u00a0 So we did.\u00a0 Run out of diapers that is.\u00a0 About a week ago.<\/p>\n

The first few days were accident after accident after accident.\u00a0 Then I figured out that is was because Bear told Ojo<\/a> that accidents are OK.\u00a0 So we had a talk, and I informed him that accidents are not ok if he is not even trying to get to the potty in time.\u00a0 Then I reread the book, improving Bear’s discussion with Ojo, so that Bear told Ojo really needed to get to the potty and not pee her pants all the time.<\/p>\n

It worked! We have been accident free since last Saturday, execpt for the one accident in church Sunday that was my fault because I didn’t fully explain the situation to the nursery workers.\u00a0 My bad…\u00a0 Also, we have been accident-free at night since Sunday Night.\u00a0 At first he wore “Bedtime Unnerwears” aka Pull-ups.\u00a0 But he got so upset when we had to throw them away in the morning.\u00a0 After a few nights of being dry in the morning, he decided last night that he wanted to wear his big kid unnerwears to bed.\u00a0 AWESOME!<\/p>\n

And so…\u00a0 after 6 years, 50 weeks, & 5 days – or roughly 15,120 dirty diapers (and yes, I did the math cuz I am geeky like that), we are officially diaper free!<\/p>\n

WOO HOO!<\/p>\n
