{"id":823,"date":"2007-11-04T07:25:16","date_gmt":"2007-11-04T12:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/wp\/?p=823"},"modified":"2007-11-04T07:25:16","modified_gmt":"2007-11-04T12:25:16","slug":"bless-your-family","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yuriar.com\/katp\/2007\/11\/04\/bless-your-family\/","title":{"rendered":"Bless your family"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Sunday, and yes, I&#8217;m late with the write up of something that has been pressing on my heart &#8211; that&#8217;s what happens around here.\u00a0\u00a0 Anyway, last Sunday, the sermon was about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nansemondriver.org\/podcast.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Love and Affirmation<\/a>, and blessing your children, and how God has blessed us.<\/p>\n<p>The Pastor quoted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quickwisdom.com\/quickwisdomemails\/91100\/Needs.isp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bobb Biehl&#8217;s<\/a> 8 insatiable needs of a person:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul><font class=\"text\"><\/p>\n<li>Loved<\/li>\n<li>Significant<\/li>\n<li>Admired<\/li>\n<li>Recognized<\/li>\n<li>Appreciated<\/li>\n<li>Secure<\/li>\n<li>Respected<\/li>\n<li>Accepted<\/li>\n<p><\/font><\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also listed the 5 blessings of a family as found in Gary Smalley&#8217;s book, <u>Gift of the Blessing<\/u>, then backed them up with Scriptural examples of how God has blessed us:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Meaningful touch (Eph 1:4)<\/li>\n<li>Spoken Word (Eph 1:9)<\/li>\n<li>Attaching a high value to the one being blessed (Eph 1:5)<\/li>\n<li>Picturing a special future for the one being blessed (Eph 1:10-11)<\/li>\n<li>an active commitment to fulfill the blessing.
