Now that the rest of my equipment is here, I’m trying to get in some practice. Only 31 more days till the wedding. For this, I gathered up the stuff<\/strike> mementos I have laying around the house from my own wedding.\u00a0 My bouquet, the musical dancing wedding couple figurine that DH’s co-worker gave us, and my original wedding rings.<\/p>\n

I did do some photoshopping.\u00a0 I used a lomo action to darken the edges, and a brush to add a better sparkle to the stone on the ring.<\/p>\n

I’m getting a little more confident each day, yet I’m still so nervous about this, I just wish it was over.\u00a0 One thing helping my confidence level – I priced wedding photographers.\u00a0 Since I did so little planning for my own wedding, I had no idea how much photographers cost.\u00a0 I feel much more confident in my abilities and my being able to do this when I realized that by doing the photography for free, I’m in effect giving her a $1500.00 gift.\u00a0 Yea.\u00a0 At that savings, even if I miss a money shot, or don’t get every minute detail documented, I’ll still do a great job.<\/p>\n

$1500.00.\u00a0 For a few hours of work.\u00a0 Damn. \u00a0 Maybe I should start a business…<\/p>\n

I actually would seriously consider it if I could guarantee my younger two would be cared for while GeekBoy and I were working.\u00a0 But I don’t know any babysitters in the area.\u00a0 And if there is one thing I’ve learned about military life, it’s that I won’t be able to count on DH being here on a consistent basis.\u00a0 So… yea.\u00a0 My career in photography will have to wait.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
