{"id":709,"date":"2007-07-05T07:23:50","date_gmt":"2007-07-05T12:23:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.yuriar.com\/wp\/?p=709"},"modified":"2007-07-05T07:23:50","modified_gmt":"2007-07-05T12:23:50","slug":"being-mom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yuriar.com\/katp\/2007\/07\/05\/being-mom\/","title":{"rendered":"Being Mom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Did you know the Bible advocates SAHMs?\u00a0 Check it out &#8211; Titus 2:4-5<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;&#8230;so that they may encourage the young women to <em>love their husbands<\/em>, to <strong><em>love their children<\/em><\/strong>, to be <em>sensible<\/em>, <em>pure<\/em>, <em><strong>workers at home<\/strong><\/em>, <em>kind<\/em>, being <em>subject to their own husbands<\/em>, <em><strong>so that the Word of God will not be dishonored<\/strong><\/em>.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The verses before this speak to the older women mentoring the younger, teaching the younger women how to behave, and how to live the way God wants us to live.\u00a0 &#8220;Love their children&#8221; means so much more than just making sure they food on the table, clothes to wear and a roof.\u00a0 It means to invest yourself in them.\u00a0 Pastor Piland said that the word &#8220;love&#8221; is &#8220;philios&#8221; and means to be a companion to your kids.\u00a0 Get down on the floor and play with them.<\/p>\n<p>We are also told to be &#8220;workers in the home.&#8221;\u00a0 So God wants us to do housework.
