I’m so sick of these little critters!\u00a0 seriously! AFter finding them brazenly crawling across my kitchen floor – MY <\/strong>Kitchen floor, you hear that ants??\u00a0 My floor!\u00a0 not yours! – for the fifth time in two weeks – yes.\u00a0 5 times.\u00a0 in 14 days. *shudder* – I followed them back to the pantry<\/strike> tool room.\u00a0 So I did what any sane person would do… ripped up the baseboards, and peeled back the linoleum.\u00a0 Guess what I found?<\/p>\n

Just guess…<\/p>\n

C’mon!\u00a0 Alright… This:<\/p>\n

And while some of you more experienced Home Improvment types might be thinking… yea…\u00a0 that’s ok…\u00a0 let’s just zoom in a bit, shall we?? \u00a0 See this:<\/p>\n

Yea.\u00a0 That.\u00a0 A monster sized crack running the length of the pantry\/tool room.<\/p>\n

So I took pictures.\u00a0 Then I took my kids and my camera, and headed to Lowes.\u00a0 God bless the people at Lowes.\u00a0 They told me what to do to fill the crack, and hopefully prevent the effing ants from getting back in the house. \u00a0 So I go home, and start the patch job, only to find this:<\/p>\n

Just chillin’ in there…..\u00a0 hiding under the wallboard.\u00a0 Hello!\u00a0 What the heck were you doing under there spidey??\u00a0 certainly not your effing job!\u00a0 if you were doing your effing job, the ants wouldn’t be over-running my kitchen!\u00a0 AHHHH!\u00a0 so I sucked this guy into the vacum along with the ants.\u00a0 (yes.\u00a0 I took the bag out to the trash later)<\/p>\n

Then I used that cool foamie stuff to seal the crack.\u00a0 Then I used to seal the base board back to the wall, and just about created my own quarter panel of the stuff.\u00a0 I didn’t care about pretty, cuz A) it’s in the pantry, B) we’re replacing the floors, and C) I’ve got company coming this weekend….\u00a0 I want to be able to put my stuff back in there without having it crawling with ants again!<\/p>\n

So now….\u00a0 I just have to deal with this:<\/p>\n
