Ok.\u00a0 So I have my lists.\u00a0 I know what needs to be done.\u00a0 I just don’t wanna.<\/p>\n
My Brat<\/a> is in control. She is the one who has me doing endless laps around the house because we just don’t feel like *doing* anything.\u00a0 She is the one who has me reaching for yet another Reeces Peanut Butter egg, just because it’s there.<\/p>\n I need to be doing housework, catching up on the paperwork (read: bills) around here, prepping my kitchen for paint because I am so tired of looking at it in it’s half-done state.\u00a0 Yet I consistently find myself on Myspace<\/a>, checking out videos on YouTube<\/a>, or just aimlessly surfing the web, not accomplishing anything, but wasting so much precious time.<\/p>\n And time is precious.\u00a0 My father’s death taught me that.\u00a0 Dad’s death has me contemplating a lot lately.\u00a0So many people showed up to my Dad’s viewing and funeral.\u00a0 He touched so many lives in tremendous ways.\u00a0 How many people have I touched?\u00a0 What is my legacy?\u00a0 How will I be remembered? A geek with her face glued to the computer?\u00a0 A loving mother, devoted spouse, and sometimes conflicted woman? I want to be even just half the person my dad was.\u00a0 I miss him dreadfully.\u00a0 The last time I saw him, was when he left for work the morning we moved.\u00a0 I hugged him goodbye.\u00a0 I hang on to that moment.<\/p>\n For the moment, it seems all I am capable of doing is wrapping myself in his NYGiants sweatshirt, and wasting time.\u00a0 And that’s OK.\u00a0 But I could really use a bit of motivation to do something.\u00a0 Anything.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Ok.\u00a0 So I have my lists.\u00a0 I know what needs to be done.\u00a0 I just don’t wanna.
