I swear….\u00a0 Sometimes I just get sooo frustrated with my two year old.\u00a0 We had to change the bedtime routine for the entire family because of her.\u00a0 I used to put her down first, then her big brother, then the baby….\u00a0 Well, she would scream and yell and beat the wall (waking up the nieghbor’s kid), and carry on so much…\u00a0 and absolutly nothing I did could make it stop…. So the whole family schedule changed.<\/p>\n
Now the baby, who is now a year old, gets put down first.\u00a0 then my DS5, who is such a sweetie pie…\u00a0 He doesn’t mind going to bed b4 his little sister, esp if it will make her be quiet!\u00a0 *S*\u00a0 then my DD2 goes down.\u00a0 Now this is working great.\u00a0 Everyone goes down without a fight, even the baby.\u00a0 There is only one problem.<\/p>\n
My dd is no dummy.\u00a0 She knows dang well that the routine was changed because of her, despite mommy saying that we were just gonna try something new.\u00a0 So she has now decided that if she yells, screams, and carrys on long enough, eventually we will have to give in.\u00a0 So now that Bedtime is no longer a fight, she has begun to turn “quiet time” into one.\u00a0 And heaven forbid we tell her “NO” to anything.\u00a0 That temper comes out like you wouldn’t believe.\u00a0 Think of the biggest DIVA you know, IE: Mariah Carey, Whitney Housten, etc….\u00a0 Yup….\u00a0 that’s my baby girl… a true DIVA.
\nSo far, I am not backing down during the day, either when we tell her no, or at quiet time.\u00a0 But so far, the neighbor hasn’t complained about my child’s loud temper during the day either.\u00a0 Yup.\u00a0 I live in a townhouse, and my neighbor was complaining about hearing my child, and my child waking up hers.\u00a0 Although in my heart, I don’t believe my neighbor would ever call Social Services on me just for my kid’s temper…\u00a0 I know she has called on other people in the neighborhood, and it’s a real threat to my own comfort.\u00a0 I just can’t wait til we get a house, far enough away from the next door neighbor, that I don’t have to worry about how loud and long my child decides to throw her fit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
