I’ve made it no secret how I felt about Mr. Obama.\u00a0 But he won. As upsetting as this is, to borrow from Jon at Stuff Christians Like<\/a>, God is still in control.<\/p>\n

I’ve been studing Psalm 46<\/a>, because of the election.\u00a0 Reality, both Psalm 46<\/a> & 47<\/a> are very comforting this moning.\u00a0 God is our refuge, our present help in troubled times.\u00a0 Verse 2 of Psalm 46, “We will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;”\u00a0 Verses 5 – 7 say that God will help, He is with us, even when the nations totter.\u00a0 46:10 is the one that everyone will recognize – “Be still and know that I am God.”\u00a0\u00a0 My NASB translates this popular verse as “Cease striving and know that I am God.”\u00a0 The study notes say that this “Cease striving” points to quit battleing, stop the warlike activities and acknowledge God’s supremacy. Psalm 47 tells us to sing praises to our God, and reminds us in verse 8, “God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.”<\/p>\n

So life goes on.\u00a0 At this point, all we can do is pray.\u00a0 Pray that God’s will be done.\u00a0 Pray that the damage will be minimal.\u00a0 Pray that the American people wake up.\u00a0 Pray for God’s peace that no matter what comes, He is in control.<\/p>\n
