My Pastor has been preaching about Fear Factor lately.\u00a0 Not the show, though he uses the idea behind the show to launch the sermons, which is pretty cool.\u00a0 So far he’s preached on “the childhood fear” aka fear of the dark, “the adult fear” aka fear of the unknown, and this past Sunday it was “the paralyzing fear” aka fear of failure.
\nWhat it boils down to, is that fear of failure leads to inaction. \u00a0 Our fear paralyzes us, to the point we start thinking what’s the point?\u00a0 God knows we will fail, He said so in Matthew 26:31.\u00a0 “You will all fall away because of Me this night…”<\/em> It’s going to happen.\u00a0 We will fail at some point.\u00a0 We will disappoint ourselves and God, but He knows this.\u00a0 And He is not surprised. \u00a0But, as pastor pointed out, there is something worse than failing.\u00a0 Not trying at all<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Mary Anaa Radmacher said, “Courage doesn’t always roar.\u00a0 Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I’ll try again tomorrow.’<\/em>”<\/p>\n

Peter failed epically.\u00a0 But, Peter also walked on water.\u00a0 He tried.\u00a0 He wasn’t afraid to try, he was willing to step out on faith.\u00a0\u00a0 But God has a way of turning failure into strength.\u00a0 He will turn your experiences into something that you can use to turn around and help others.<\/p>\n

The moral of the story:<\/p>\n

Don’t give up!<\/p>\n

Don’t give in!<\/p>\n
