Stop and Smell the Flowers

I’ve been meaning to take photos of my garden for a while now…. figured i’d better do it before it all died again! I had some pretty roses earlier this year….. something happened to my rosebush though… I think I killed it along with the ahpids…  Anyway, I have no idea what this flower is.  If you know, please leave a comment!  *S*  I’d love to know what the name of this think is so I can stop calling it the “pink-flower-that-turns-purple -when-it-dies.”

Flower in my Garden

**Note to my self-absorbed neighbors. My life doesn’t revolve around you. I take photos of my garden because I like to, not because *someone* picked a flower. I have more important things to do with my time then spend it counting flowers and assigning blame.  And I certainly don’t spend my day dreaming up new inventive ways to piss you off.  I leave that momentous task to you.  I’ve got more important things, like my children, my husband, my house, my work, my email.  I’ve got a life, and depsite what you think, it doesn’t revolve around you!**

Oh and just to show how much of a photographer I’m becoming…. *S* Check this out! While writing this blog, I saw a hint of movement out of the corner of my eye… and it was a BIG spider! Normally I’m all girly when it comes to spiders. You know, both feet planted firmly on a chair yelling “Eww! Kill it!” to my husband. But alas, he is working the night shift tonight, and I am all alone with this monster.  So what is my first thought? Well, pretty much, “Eww! There’s a spider! Where’s my strong spider-killer when I need him!?!” Second thought, “Dude, I should totally get a picture!”

And yes. I even moved the entire freaking computer desk just to hunt this thing down with my camera before running for the flyswatter. *S* Arachnophobs beware! it’s a spider picture!

Spider

As proud as I am of myself for not freaking out, I must admit, I’ve put my shoes back on. *S*
