The pattern is connected to ideas of toxic masculinity in our culture.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2014 Feminist Frequency (@femfreq) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/femfreq\/status\/525793436025118721\">October 24, 2014<\/a><\/p>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>Anita&#8217;s reinforcement of a negative stereotype &#8211; that males are &#8220;always&#8221; the aggressors in these situations &#8211; is offensive.\u00a0 I am the mother of two boys.\u00a0 Anita&#8217;s actions here only serve to hurt my boys, and men in general.\u00a0 Not only that, but her statement is false.\u00a0 I perused the roster at <a href=\"http:\/\/murderpedia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Murderpedia<\/a>, and found 15 examples of female mass shooters.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/murderpedia.org\/female.A\/a\/anderson-michele.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michele Anderson<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/murderpedia.org\/female.E\/e\/eubanks-susan.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Susan Eubanks<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/murderpedia.org\/female.F\/f\/franken-ethel-mae.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethel Mae Franken<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/murderpedia.org\/female.H\/h\/holder-mary-ann.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mary Ann Holder<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/murderpedia.org\/female.M\/m\/mcanich.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G. Brenda&#8217;s story is chilling.\u00a0 I urge you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/justice-story\/justice-story-don-mondays-article-1.1504277\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">go read it<\/a>. When asked why she shot at an elementary school yard full of kids, she said simply, &#8220;I hate Mondays.&#8221; These are just the names I found in a quick 15 minute search of one website.\u00a0 This list could be extended much longer if you were to accept mass murder, including the female weapon of choice &#8211; an automobile. Meanwhile, you know what Anita is NOT using her Feminist Frequency account to do?\u00a0 Anita has not attempted to speak out on behalf of the girl on twitter that most people believe to be the shooter&#8217;s ex girlfriend. This poor girl, who is likely still alive as she went to a different school &amp; is not one of the names being circulated as a victim, is getting all kinds of hate and vitriol from twitter trolls.\u00a0 Everything from &#8220;you&#8217;re a slut&#8221; to: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\" data-conversation=\"none\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/YedIin\">@YedIin<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Shilenegeorgiaa\">@Shilenegeorgiaa<\/a> she should take his murder charge imo \u2014 Josh Cooke (@JoshCooke_22) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoshCooke_22\/status\/525855828335943680\">October 25, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Yes, you read that right.\u00a0 Some fool on twitter is advocating for the ex-girlfriend to stand trial for murders committed by a boy. This girl is being savaged online right now, on twitter, instagram, and likely everywhere else people have found her social media.\u00a0 Yet Anita has not spoken out against it. This poor girl is the real victim here, moreso than anything else.\u00a0 Yet what is Anita&#8217;s response to the inevitable push-back from her inane comments?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>Our culture is deeply sick when simply asking questions about how toxic forms of masculinity may harm men leads to hours of hate on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Feminist Frequency (@femfreq) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/femfreq\/status\/525850299487883264\">October 25, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nThat&#8217;s right. It&#8217;s all about her. She said something stupid, got some blow-back for it, and our culture is so sick because of it. Yes, Anita. Our culture is sickening. But not for the reasons you think. It&#8217;s sick to think that we live in a world where the first reaction to a school shooting is to blame all males.\u00a0 It&#8217;s sick to think that we live in a world where feminists hold up <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SooperMexican\/status\/503741874365272064\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beyonce &amp; her wall of butts<\/a> as an example of a great feminist, but do nothing to support a young teenage girl who is most certainly going through hell right now.\u00a0 It&#8217;s sickening that the first reaction of a school shooting for far too many people is to politicize it. It&#8217;s sickening that people like <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/piersmorgan\/with_replies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Piers Morgan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shannonrwatts\/with_replies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shannon Watts<\/a>, and their ilk automatically default to blaming the NRA and people like Dana Loesch for events like this.\u00a0 It&#8217;s sickening the amount of hatred and vitriol spewed at anyone who dares to push back in support of the Second Amendment.\u00a0 It&#8217;s sickening that organizations like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.projectchildsafe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Project ChildSafe <\/a>not only get their<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/InstaBlog\/2014\/01\/16\/After-Obama-Admin-Cut-Off-Funding-to-Free-Child-Lock-Program-for-Firearms-NSSF-Steps-Up-to-Fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> funding cut<\/a>, but get no love from the press &amp; groups like Everytown &amp; Moms Demand.<\/p>\n<p>But most of all, it&#8217;s sickening that we live in a world where life has so little value.\u00a0 Babies are disposable, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/brittany-maynard-dying-with-dignity-before-cancer-takes-her-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disease is an acceptable excuse to off yourself with so-called dignity<\/a>, assisted suicide is becoming more popular, and a teenager doesn&#8217;t blink when shooting <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nakita_L\/status\/525885743961362432\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his cousin <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nakita_L\/status\/525885823938330625\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the face<\/a>. That, Ms. Sarkeesian, is what is truly sickening about our current culture.
