I need a break.

Fo real.  I am just worn out.  The weather is dreary and my soul is weary.  Sometimes, I just want to get in the car and drive.  Of course, these days that would mean packing for everyone, making sue everyone has shoes on, breaking up the endless fight over who will be the “line leader” and by the time everyone is in the car, I don’t want to take them anywhere.  Not to mention the cost of gas alone is enough to make me rethink this idea of driving of into the sunset.

I need a break.  Even Jesus & his disciples would break free of the crowds to rest and rejuvenate.  But when I go on vacation, I take my work with me.  I don’t get to leave work behind and get away for a week.  Vacation just adds all kinds of new stresses.

I must admit, I’m a bit jealous of the BlogHer girls.  I wish I could have gone, only for the 3 day vacation.  I don’t want 3 days of meetings though.  I want three days just me, and a bed.  Maybe bring my laptop along so I can do some photo editing and scrapbooking like I want to but can never seem to find the time.  But mostly, I’d probably just sleep.

I think 3 days is a good length of time.  Less then that, and it will feel way to short.  More then that, and I will start to miss the anklebiters.

But reality is, a 3 day vacation just isn’t in the cards for me.  So something needs to give.  but what?
