Give me faith Dear Lord…

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
Proverbs 3:5-8

These words just popped into my head this afternoon as I contemplated which direction to take with Aprendemos Academy. I must admit, the current situation in California has me a bit worried about the future of homeschooling as an option. Even as I type this, another verse comes to mind:

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own.
Matthew 6:34

So I pray. I pray for guidance, I pray for faith. There is definitely more than enough to worry about for today without worrying about something that may not even be a problem in the future. The whole gist of Matthew 6:25-34 is to remind us to let God handle things. Oh, how I need that reminder often.

I will trust in my God to handle this situation. I will pray for the people of California, and the legal teams who are fighting this ruling. Then I will focus on the here and now. My kids and their education. I asked the kids what they would like to do, and now have a nice list to work with. I will trust God’s leading, and continue in the path in which He has laid out for me.
