We’ve told her. Time and time again we’ve told her, “Stay out of other people’s things.” Did she listen? Nope.
Yesterday, thePinkDiva found the box in Mom & Dad’s closet. You know… The Box. The one that hides all the Christmas gifts until it’s time to break it out and all. Yup. That one. She went snooping in the closet and popped open a box and saw the dollhouse set she will be getting for Christmas. She got all excited and wanted to have it right then. “Mommy! look! See! Can I have it??!! ”
“Nope. That’s your Christmas gifts. Congratulations. You just ruined your Christmas.”
Oh my word. Talk about heartbroken. She spent the next 20 minutes in her room wailing. When she finally calmed down, we talked. She learned that this is exactly why Mommy and Daddy tell her to stay out of other people’s business and thing. If she asked Mommy could she look in the box, Mommy would have told her no, and she would not have wrecked her Christmas.
I think she’s learned her lesson.
