So, yesterday I saw this story on Reuters about the message the Israelis will be sending to President Obama, concerning Iran:<\/p>\n

“It need not be conclusive or threatening, but it will be very serious and … scare the daylights out of the president that unless the international community mobilizes to address the situation, the Israelis will,” Miller said. (Reuters<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Read the whole story<\/a>.\u00a0 Basically, the way I read it, Israel will be telling Obama, “Ok, ok.\u00a0 We will go along with your ‘diplomatic talks’ and such. BUT. If you will not act, if you will not take care of this problem, if you fail…\u00a0 We will act, and we will take care of this threat, with or without you.”<\/p>\n

That made my day.<\/p>\n

Then, I woke up this morning to find this story in my twitter stream: (HT Scott<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Iran sternly dismissed decades of U.S. policies targeting Tehran and declared Friday that the new American administration had to admit past wrongs before it could hope for reconciliation. (source<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Oh. My. Word.\u00a0 Did ya’ll read that?\u00a0 Go read the whole story<\/a>, I’ll wait.<\/p>\n

Mr. Obama has found himself in quite a pickle.\u00a0 If he gives in to Iran and says our support of Israel, among other things, is wrong – Israel will declare war and bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities because we will no longer have any sway over them.\u00a0 If he doesn’t give in to Iran’s demands, and can’t get Iran to give it up – Israel will declare war and bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities.<\/p>\n

I give it 6 months to a year before war breaks out in the Middle East.\u00a0 And when it does, the United States will have to pick a side.\u00a0 I can only hope & pray the we pick the right side.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
